On the Lap Story Time
Tuesdays (May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st)
10 am - La Quinta Library - FREE

Story time for babies and young toddlers who are just beginning to learn about listening to stories and songs. Little ones are accompanied by their parent or caretaker, who provide warm comfortable laps. For more information call (760) 564-4767.

Preschool Story Time
Tuesdays (May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st)
11 am - La Quinta Library- FREE

This program is for children ages 3 and up who can sit independently, listen to stories and follow the Storytime leader. It is an excellent way to prepare for kindergarten with an educational program that is a lot of FUN! For more information call (760) 564-4767.

Story Time at La Quinta Museum
Wednesday, May 4th
10 am - La Quinta Museum - FREE

Moonlight Movie
Friday, May 6th - Toy Story 3
Movie begins at dusk - FREE

Bring your blankets, low-back sand chairs and the whole family for fun and a movie under the stars. Admission is free. Come early and have dinner at one of Old Town's restaurants before the show - or order your food to-go and enjoy your meal with the movie! Walking Equals Long Life (W.E.L.L.)
Sunday, May 15th
8 am - La Quinta Civic Center Campus - FREE

The City of La Quinta and W.E.L.L. invite you to walk in a group setting at the beautiful Civic Center Campus. The group is open to everyone to come out and enjoy exercising and socializing while improving their health. The City's mission is to encourage everyone, regardless of fitness level, to get out, exercise and have fun. For more information call (760) 777-7090.

Adult Nature Walk - Natural and Historical Mysteries of the La Quinta Cove
Saturday, May 21
8 am - Bear Creek Nature Trail - FREE

In a collaborative program between the City of LaQuinta and the Stewards of the Fred Wolff Bear Creek Nature Preserve and Trail, this free program is offered to anyone interested in learning about the Preserve. All walks begin at the Shade Shelter on the Bear Creek Nature Trail at the corner of Calle Ensenada and Avenida Montezuma in the La Quinta Cove. For more information call (760) 777-7090.

W.E.L.L. 1K/5K Charity Walk
Sunday, May 22nd
6:30 am - Check in
7:30 am - 1K Begins
Immediately following 1K - 5K Begins
La Quinta Civic Center Campus

W.E.L.L. (Walking Equals Long Life) invites you to take a walk around the beautiful Civic Center Campus and participate in the first annual 1K/5K charity walk. Donations collected at this event will benefit the Natalie Tanner Foundation. Light refreshments will be provided. All participants will be awarded a certificate.
