Default El Paseo And Palm Canyon Drive Shops

El Paseo and Palm Canyon Drive both look good for shopping. What is the difference between them?

El Paseo (Palm Desert) and Palm Canyon Drive (Palm Springs) are each not to be missed. Palm Canyon Drive is the downtown artery of Palm Springs and has the history (Fun fact: Just south of Tahquitz is a quaint collection of beautiful shops built in 1938 in classic Mediterranean / Spanish Revival style. Known as La Plaza, this was the first "shopping center" built in Southern California).
El Paseo is known as the Rodeo Drive of The Desert. Here you will find name designers and is comparable to anything in Beverly Hills or Palm Beach. Please see: and

Here are some ideas for shoe stores on El Paseo: Bellisimo - 760-836-3661; Cole Haan, The Gardens on El Paseo; J. Stephens - 760-674-4900 and Rockport - 760-340-1800. You can view their store directory here - El Paseo.

Thumbs up Mister Marcus

There's a good shoe store on El Paseo called Mister Marcus. They carry a good selection of high-end shoes...

What are the shop hours in October? I am from Canada, and I am not familiar with the West coast opening times.

Exclamation Shop Hours in Palm Springs

Most stores open at 10 am every day except Sundays. Either stores are closed on Sundays or open between 11 am & noon. During October, stores start to stay open a bit later, however, closing hours do vary among the shops. For example, some may close at 6pm while others are open until 8pm, 9pm or even 10pm.

Enjoy your visit to Palm Springs. To pique your shopping interest, I have attached this link:
